I got the bad news Saturday morning in the middle of our pageant. Words cannot describe the sadness I feel. Lola was a very good friend and pal. And now, she's dead. I have gotten a new fish but we are having a hard time bonding and naming him... It's a beta. Eventually I will post a picture but right now my heart is mourning for Lola. Words of comfort and support would be appreciated. This is the end of my disastrous news.

I'm very sorry to hear the sad news about Lola, may she rest in peace and may you be able to bond with your new fish, not to replace Lola but to be a new friend. Might I suggest Frodo as his name?
do not name the new fish frodo. that's just silly. but i am sorry for your loss and hope that the new fish will comfort you. i'm sure that lola was a good fish, but this fish will bring you much joy!
Poor Lola! My sister had a series of beta fishes she named Arthur - after Arthur the Third died, my stepdad suggested she use a different name for any successors. I think that name might have been cursed.
